Cp4 - High Pressure Pump

  1. Although this high pressure pump is capable of up to 550 RWHP there are many reports of them failing at stock horse power levels.

  2. They have a very low tolerance for fuel contaminant and low quality fuel.

    1. Get your fuel from the same pump whenever possible.

    2. Consider an additive that can increase the lubricity of your fuel.

    3. Do not run your truck under a quarter tank of fuel.

  3. Lift pumps help take stress off of the Cp4 and provide extra filtration for the fuel.
